An independent interior architect’s journey

I’m Derya Karaer.

I was born in Istanbul in 1991 and graduated from Kocaeli University’s Faculty of Design with a degree in Interior Architecture.

Since 2014, I have worked across different sectors with a focus on project development and construction sites. After roles at Nolte Home Studio, Yoo Mimarlık, and Arcoglobal, I began working independently in 2021.

Today I continue my practice as an independent interior architect, delivering both design and implementation projects. I value the connection between the initial idea and its real-world execution, together with open communication and considered detailing.
